Head-on Collision Kills 86-year-old Woman

A head-on collision on Cape George Road has left an 86-year-old Port Townsend woman dead after she struggled to stay alive for two weeks in the hospital.

Dorothy M. Forsberg was pronounced dead on Sunday after being airlifted and admitted to the hospital on October 24th following the accident. The accident occurred at the intersection of Crutcher and Cape George road.

According to doctors, she sustained major internal injuries as well as leg fractures.

The accident is still under investigation and no changes have been filed to date.
