Road Rage Incident Injures Firefighter

December 19, 2005

A road rage incident resulted in the hospitalization of an Everett fire captain.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Evergreen Way and 92nd St on Thursday afternoon.

A car pulled directly in front of the captain, who was jogging alongside another firefighter.

One of the firefighters wanted to let the driver know that they were behind the car so they tapped on the trunk of the car.

The driver of the car became very angry at this gesture and proceeded to hit the firefighter with the car.

The firefighter was hospitalized with minor injuries but was later released

The driver of the car sped away and police are now on the lookout for it. It is a blue 1996 to 1998 Ford Mustang with possible damage to the hood and driver's side windshield.

Police are asking anybody with any information to come forward.
