Bond Road Sees Its Third Fatal Accident This Month
A motorcyclist was the third victim to die in an accident on Bond Road after he drove off Bond Road and down a 25-foot embankment, police and fire officials said.
He was the third person to die on Bond Road this month, and his death brings the total number to 10 on North Kitsap roads since December 2004.
Officials with the Washington State Patrol are investigating why 37-year-old John Horton of Kingston was involved in an accident around 9 p.m. near Ladybug Lane.
When Poulsbo firefighters arrived Sunday night, a Kitsap County sheriff's deputy was already trying to resuscitate him, but Horton perished at the scene.
Kenneth Vaughn, 36, of Kingston was killed on Thursday when his van ran into the side of a semi-trailer on Bond Road.
Marie Hoefener, 84, of Kingston died on September 2nd from injuries she sustained in an accident at the intersection of Bond and Gunderson roads.
The city has already begun their plan of installing a traffic signal at the Bond-Gunderson intersection.
