Backhoe Kills Pierce County Child

A young boy lost his life when he was accidentally run over by a bulldozer near Orting, Washington.
The accident happened at a home on a private landing strip just outside of Graham, Washington before 6 p.m. Friday, February 4, 2005.
Police say the 4-year-old boy was riding on a bulldozer with his uncle who was excavating a driveway.
As the day turned into early evening, the temperature dropped and the boy wanted to go inside. After the boy went inside the house, he apparently returned without the uncle noticing him. The boy was struck by the bulldozer and died at the scene.
According to police, there did not appear to be any negligence on the part of the uncle.
