Patient Accidently Burned, Investigation Launched

A patient undergoing emergency heart surgery caught on fire at a local hospital when he went up in flames after alcohol poured on his skin was ignited by a surgical instrument. The male patient, who was not identified, died after the surgery but his death was due to heart failure and not the fire, the hospital said. Police have launched an investigation to determine how the incident occurred.
