A husband and wife, both in their 50s, were rescued off Camano Island after their boat capsized Sunday morning.
The couple used a cellphone to call the Island County Sheriff's Office to report that their vessel was taking on water, but the call was cut off, according to the Coast Guard in Seattle.
Just after 8:30 a.m., the Coast Guard launched two vessels, a 41-foot utility boat and a 25-foot response boat, to search for the couple; a Coast Guard helicopter was also dispatched from Port Angeles to help, the Coast Guard said.
Officials said that before officials could arrive, the couple were rescued by another boat just before 9:15 a.m.
They were treated by awaiting medics for hypothermia.
Both are expected to recover.
