A teenage girl died and a young boy was injured when two boats collided late last night on Lake Washington, Seattle police and fire officials said.
The girl, a 13 year old, and the boy, a 6 year old, were among five children riding on a ski boat with a man.
The two children were on the bow when the boat collided with a second boat sometime after 10 p.m.
After the crash, the ski boat driver brought the injured ashore just east of the University of Washington's Husky Stadium and called 911.
The second boat, with five people aboard, went to Magnuson Park where a woman was taken by ambulance for treatment of apparently minor injuries.
It's not clear what caused the crash. No one was thrown overboard from the accident.
