Three people were killed Wednesday afternoon in a chain-reaction accident involving two cars and a semi-truck west of Seattle, at the north end of Washington's Olympic Peninsula.
Trooper Brian George of the Washington State Patrol said that the accident was reported at 4:45 p.m. on US Highway 101 near the Deer Park Cinemas.
Apparently, a station wagon traveling eastbound crossed the centerline and struck a pickup in the oncoming lane. The pickup, as a result, crossed the centerline and struck the semi-truck.
The driver and both passengers of the pickup truck were killed instantly.
The truck driver and a passenger and the three people in the station wagon suffered minor injuries.
