One Dead, Two Injured In South Sound Crash

March 13, 2006

A man was killed and two people were injured in a traffic accident at 255th Street East and State Route 7 near Seattle Wednesday night.

Washington state troopers said just after 7:30 p.m. Wednesday a male driver of a Dodge pickup truck was speeding down SR7.

The driver of the Dodge swerved into the oncoming lane and crashed head-on into a blue minivan, killing the 30-year-old driver.

A man and a woman who were in the Dodge truck were taken to the hospital.

Troopers believe the driver of the Dodge was speeding and had been drinking, said Trooper J.J. Gundermann of the Washington State Patrol.

He went across the center line quickly and the other driver had no time to respond and tragically died at the scene, said Gundermann.
