Multiple Car Accident Closes Interstate 5

Interstate 5 was shut down on Thursday morning following a multiple car accident in the Nisqually area, the Washington State Patrol reported.

Police closed the southbound lanes after a semi-truck jackknifed across the lanes in the collision that occurred about 10:20 a.m. The truck released diesel fuel all over the interstate.

Traffic was re-routed around the accident for an undisclosed amount of time.
