Man Steps In Front Of Car On Pacific Highway

A man was driving along the Pacific Highway on Saturday just inside Federal way when he struck and killed a man.

The pedestrian was walking along the 32400 block of the Pacific Highway South when he stepped in front of the driver headed north in his Ford Taurus. The man, believed to be in his 30s, was struck around 6:45 p.m.

The man was rushed to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle but doctors were not able to save him. The identity of the man has not been released yet by the Medical Examiner.

The driver of the car was identified simply as a man in his 20s and was not injured in the accident. He stopped immediately following the accident and assisted police in the investigation of the incident.

The road was closed for about 7 hours following the accident as police investigated the scene.
