Investigation In Crash That Killed Five Children Proceeding

The Washington State Patrol says its investigation into a fatal crash that killed five children is continuing, although the wrong-way driver refuses to talk to detectives.

Police say that 55-year-old Clifford Helm of Deer Park has retained a lawyer and won't talk about the November first crash on U-S Highway 395.

The collision killed Jeffrey and Carolyn Schrock's five children and seriously injured Jeffrey Schrock.

No charges have been filed but Sevigney says W-S-P detectives continue to interview witnesses and gather evidence.
