Six people required medical attention, some of it critical, after a head-on car crash that occurred in Shelton on Thursday night around 5:30 p.m.
According to State Patrol troopers, a Suzuki carrying the driver and two passengers veered over the center lane of Agate Road and ran head-on into another car carrying four people.
Two of the four were young children, only one of which was in a car seat.
One passenger in the Suzuki and all four of the occupants of the second car were airlifted to area hospitals with serious-to-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Suzuki sustained only minor injuries and was rushed by ambulance to a local hospital. The condition of the other passenger is not known.
