Selah City Councilman Brian Harris remains in a Seattle hospital with back and shoulder injuries after an accident on Interstate 82.
The 41-year-old was in surgery to repair an artery in his neck. A nursing supervisor at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where Harris is being treated, said his condition remains satisfactory.
Harris was injured when the 2004 Ford Ranger pickup he was riding in hit a patch of ice south of the Interstate 90 interchange and rolled over just before 6 a.m. Wednesday, the Washington State Patrol reported.
The driver, 32-year-old Charles J. Currier of Yakima, was treated at Kittitas Valley Community Hospital and released. He was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
