An Auburn police officer was involved in a high speed chase after a stolen vehicle when she crashed into a passing motorist.
The accident took place on Monday shortly after 11 p.m. near 108th Avenue Southeast and Southeast 208th Street, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Auburn police Officer Jamie Heslin, 28, was in pursuit of an Audi that was reported stolen. She was headed southbound on 108th Avenue just north of Auburn when she entered an intersection and hit a Toyota that was not involved in the chase.
The force of the impact caused the Toyota to strike the stolen Audi. The patrol car was wrecked as well.
