Belfair Woman Booked for Fatal Crash

A 21 year-old Belfair, Washington woman by the name of Tera Lawanna Cash was booked for driving under the influence of drugs after killing a woman in a car crash on January 6, 2004 on State Road 166 near Seattle.

According to Washington State Police, the crash occurred at approximately 9:35 p.m. when Ms. Cash was driving her 2005 Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck Eastbound on Route 166. Ms. Cash allegedly crossed the centerline of State Route 166 and crashed head-on to a 1995 Toyota 4Runner driven by Nicole Daniels, a 27 year old Silverdale resident.

Ms. Cash suffered skull fractures from the accident and was treated at Madigan Army Hospital in Tacoma. Ms. Daniels died at the scene of the accident. Ms. Daniels? passenger, one Phillip Cobb, 19, suffered serious injuries. Mr. Cobb's injuries, however, were not life threatening.

Following Ms. Cash's release, she was booked for vehicular homicide. Washington Police stated that Ms. Cash had substances in her vehicle, which led the officers to suspect that she was impaired or intoxicated. The police also indicated that blood tests were still pending.

Ms. Cash was transported to Kitsap County Jail. She was booked for one count of vehicular homicide, in addition to an arrest warrant issued in Georgia for several counts of forgery. Ms. Cash is still in custody awaiting bail. She's scheduled to appear in court shortly.
