A head-on crash near Bonney Lake on Saturday ended up sending four people to the hospital with serious injuries, said a spokesman for the Pierce County Sheriff's office.
At around 10:15 p.m., two men were headed west on South Prairie Road East. As they entered the 23000 block, they crossed the center line and hit an eastbound car.
Witnesses reported that prior to the accident, they had seen the men driving over the speed limit and swerving in and out of cars.
The victims in the east bound car have been identified as two sisters, ages 15 and 20. The two girls were taken to Harborview Medical Center where they were being treated for serious injuries.
Rescue crews transported the two men to St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma and doctors listed the two in serious to critical condition.
Initial investigation speculates that alcohol played a role in the accident.
