Auto Accidents Kill 8 In One Day Bringing Total To 14

The total deaths involved in highway accidents in this region has now reached a toll of 14 for the past five days, eight of them happening this week alone.

Two men and a woman were killed in a car accident near Gig Harbor, Pierce County. In another accident, a 16-year-old Tacoma boy ran a red light in Federal way and was killed.

Last Saturday, a man was involved in a head-on collision on Russell Way in Everett that took his life.

Last Friday, a woman and child died were driving on Interstate 5 near Conway, Skagit County, when the woman's SUV collided head-on with a car being driven by two adults and carrying three children. The woman in the SUV as well as one of the children in the other car both died instantly.

Last Thursday, a 32-year-old Redmond man was killed after he was involved in a head-on collision near Redmond along Highway 202 while reportedly driving too fast and recklessly passing cars in no-passing zones. Also that day, a 22-year-old Enumclaw woman died in a head-on crash on I-5 near Kent.

Wednesday, a 26-year-old man died in a fiery crash on I-90 when his car collided with a semi-truck and pickup.
